Telegram bot (read-only admin)

Telegram channels & groups

How it works

  1. 1Connect your Telegram account by opening @BuzzBridge_appBot from your profile and pressing Start.
  2. 2Add @BuzzBridge_appBot to your channel or group as an admin. Switch off every permission. It needs none.
  3. 3Enter the channel's @name on BuzzBridge. We check that you're its owner or an admin and read the member count.

What we can see

  • See the channel name and member count
  • See the admin list, to confirm you're an admin

What we can never do

  • Post, edit or delete messages
  • Add, ban or remove members
  • Change channel settings or read private chats

Revoke access or remove verification

  • Remove @BuzzBridge_appBot from the channel's admin list, or from the channel entirely.
  • Block the bot in your Telegram chat list to unlink your account.
  • The Verified badge comes off automatically the next time we check.

Public code post (no bot, no login)

How it works

  1. 1We give you a short one-time code, like BB-7K2Q.
  2. 2Post it publicly — a tweet on X, or a line in your channel's bio or description — for a few minutes.
  3. 3Paste the link or tap Check. We read that public post, find the code and mark the account verified. Then you can delete it.

What we can see

  • Read your public profile page once, to find the code

What we can never do

  • Log in to your account
  • See anything that isn't already public
  • Change anything on your account

Revoke access or remove verification

  • There's nothing to revoke. We never had access.
  • To drop the badge, use Remove verification in your profile settings.

Official sign-in (Google / X)

How it works

  1. 1Tap Connect and you'll see the official Google or X permission screen.
  2. 2Approve read-only access. We never see your password.
  3. 3We read your channel name and follower count and save the account as Verified.

What we can see

  • Read your public channel name, handle and follower or subscriber count

What we can never do

  • See your password
  • Post, like, follow or send messages for you
  • Read your DMs or private videos

Revoke access or remove verification

  • Google: go to myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party connections and remove BuzzBridge.
  • X: go to Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions and revoke BuzzBridge.
  • Or use Disconnect in your BuzzBridge profile settings. We delete our stored link right away.

Removing verification from BuzzBridge

From your profile settings you can remove the Verified badge from any channel or delete the channel completely. The link still shows if you keep it, but it's marked "Not verified". When you remove a channel, we delete the follower numbers and account link we stored for it.
